A Year of Stories/Week 1

So thrilled to be starting 2016 with a fun weekly project with some of my favorite photographers and friends. A Year of Stories is a weekly blog circle to document the stories of our everyday. I hope you will follow our group throughout the year!

So for the first installment, I wanted to tell you about a quaint little train town that we frequent, Ashland, Virginia. Ashland is a middle point for us to meet my husband's family. We meet for brunch and before heading home, we end up walking the tracks and soaking in the small town feel. This is where my husband was living when we first started dating so we have some sweet memories here and want to pass them along to the kids. So despite the chilly dreary day, we stopped in as we always do.

Now keep following our circle through to the next story from Carey Pace! Go get inspired by her images!!

  3. Well, you certainly rocked that dreary day! What a great adventure for your family -- I love that it has ties to when you first met your husband. I am in love with those portraits of her on the tracks!
