A Year of Stories: Week 51

Every December 23rd ( my birthday!) we take the kids to The Jefferson Hotel in downtown Richmond. The hotel is magnificent and filled with beautiful holiday cheer.
Here's what we saw there this December 23rd...

A Year of Stories/Week 49 & 50

A Year of Stories has been such a rewarding personal project for me this year. I have been inspired by this group and enjoy sharing our stories and images with each other and you. We all have decided to continue this project into 2017 with a different format. We are dedicating a separate blog for our group and posting a storytelling image each week. That will be up and running starting January 9th so I will get you all the deets before then.

We have been getting in the holiday spirit the past couple weeks so I'm catching up here. I plan on documenting our holiday and new year and that will bring us to the end of a full year of shooting weekly stories! I did hit up instagram with some images as well so come follow me there!

In the meantime, here are week 49 & 50. Be sure to follow the circle all the way around for some more holiday cheer! Up first is Mel Karlberg and a sweet story of her boy and the magic of Christmas.

My 2016

A glimpse of our year.
A small handful of the thousands of pictures I made.
All those little things that truly make up my big thing.

A Year of Stories/Week 48

Week 48 of our weekly storytelling blog circle.
Up next is an engaging family story from my friend, Cynthia Dawson.

We've been laying low this last week and weekend....not much to report.
Still grabbing my camera in search of beauty in our ordinary.

See you next week.

A Year of Stories/Week 46 & 47

Been a very busy couple weeks!
Finishing up my client sessions for 2016 and looking forward to a relaxing holiday season.
In the past 2 weeks I have been the matron of honor in a wedding, spent Thanksgiving with family, had 4 client sessions and tried in between to start decking my halls.
So here is a very random post...5 weeks left of A Year of Stories.

And if Sophie could put the damn dog down already, I would have more of a variety of images! HA!
