A Year of Stories/Week 42

Last week I had the opportunity to take a photowalk with a sweet friend who happens to be a great photographer, Clare of Clare Midock Photography. She is new to the area so I took her on a walk around Richmond's urban canal, the first of several places we hope to walk. We loaded up her adorable son, Finn and hit the streets looking for cool shots! Go visit Clare's page here and see what she captured. And here is what I saw through my lens....love to see our alike and different perspectives.

Be sure to follow our A Year of Stories blog circle this week for some inspiration! Up next is Sonja Stich whose images always hold such great stories.

A Year of Stories/Week 40

Week 40!!!!

A lil' bit of randomness this week.

And then over the weekend I got to pick up Hannah and bring her home for Fall Break, 8 loads of laundry and all!!!

Another top parenting moment....the first time you hug your kid after you leave them at college. Pure relief and joy. And she seems happy and healthy and that's all I can ask for!

I don't always make the most obvious choices as a mom, but I do know that I will forever let my kids be who they want to be, guide them if they need it, but not ever try to turn them into something they're not. They do what they're passionate about, not what everyone else is doing. And even though the bubble we live in can be judgmental at times, I want them to always feel that they are enough. I need them to know what being worthy feels like.

A Year of Stories is a collaborative group of storytelling photographers sharing our images and prose with each other and you. Up next is Julie Mak whose images never disappoint!
